Drive-In Rack in North Las Vegas, NV
North Las Vegas drive-in rack can turn large blocks of matching reserve pallets into deep, rail-supported lanes with fewer access aisles. Forklifts enter those lanes rather than serving every position from outside. Among the densest pallet storage options, this arrangement works best when a small SKU range accounts for substantial inventory.
Foodservice and beverage reserve for Strip resorts can fit this pattern, as can repeated manufacturing inputs. A large e-commerce assortment usually does not. Separate the bulk portion of the inventory from the long tail before treating a high-clear building as one uniform storage problem.
Drive-In Rack Decisions Beyond Building Height
We review drive-in pallet rack against the quantity per SKU, pallet consistency and frequency of retrieval. A lane dedicated to one slow-moving item cannot lend its empty rear positions to an unrelated product without sacrificing access. Occupancy across the full replenishment cycle matters.
In the I-15 industrial core between Cheyenne Avenue, Craig Road and Tropical Parkway, receiving traffic can compete with reserve replenishment. Show the working route from doors to lane entrances. Buildings along Losee Road may need a different turning allowance from a newer large-bay distribution shell.
Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. is the parent organization of our division, with supply and installation experience extending to 1997. We use that experience to connect the reserve inventory plan with truck selection and a clearly defined new-rack installation scope.

Keep receiving space in the drawing
At Speedway near I-15 and Speedway Boulevard, large buildings still need receiving buffers. At Apex near I-15/US-93, rail-related movements and truck arrivals should be represented separately. UP intermodal activity on Tropical Parkway is another reason to plan arrival staging rather than extend lanes to every available wall.
Validate Drive-In Pallet Rack Clearances
Connect bulk inventory quantities to the building and assigned forklift fleet.
Classify reserve demand
Separate full-pallet bulk replenishment from piece-pick inventory. Rank items by sustained pallets on hand rather than by total SKU sales.
Verify lane envelopes
Measure loaded pallets and the complete forklift. Set rail spacing, entry guides and overhead clearance together, with allowance for normal placement variation.
Choose stock rotation
Compare one-ended LIFO with opposite-ended FIFO access. Include both working aisles in the area comparison before accepting the denser drawing.
Sequence area turnover
Define assembly space and the first lanes to be released. Keep replenishment access available to the reserve inventory that remains in service.
Drive-In Rack Installation for Bulk Reserve
One-ended drive-in rack is LIFO: newer loads must leave before pallets deeper in the lane. Drive-thru racking supports FIFO through opposite-end access, but only with disciplined loading direction and enough room at both faces. Lot-sensitive food reserve needs that comparison before depth is selected.
Rail bearing, load clearance and guide width are separate dimensions. Check the pallet underside, weight distribution and loaded overhang, then verify the forklift body and mast throughout travel. Fork positioning and the room needed to raise a pallet off its rails also affect usable opening height.
A newer 32–40 ft clear tilt-wall building does not guarantee that every vertical position is usable. Compare the actual lift chart with the heaviest load at height. Include roof-level obstructions and bracing in the layout review rather than assigning levels from advertised clear height alone.
Cold storage and freezer buildings require rack finishes, handling equipment and installation methods suited to low temperatures. Account for insulated door access and product staging outside the work zone. Dense reserve is valuable there, but batch release and cleaning access must remain workable.
We arrange installation crews to suit the phased release of warehouse areas, checking alignment and rail elevations before handover. The approved arrangement identifies how frames are anchored to the floor. Coordinate component unloading separately from grocery receipts so assembly does not consume dispatch staging.
Pushback deserves a parallel look when drivers should stay in the aisle or multiple SKUs need shorter lanes. Drive-in rack is strongest for long runs of matching pallets, not for frequent requests to retrieve an individual load from behind another item.
Use the following comparisons to check whether bulk depth, shorter front-access lanes or gravity-fed rotation better matches your reserve. Each choice changes the aisle plan as well as the handling routine.
